VOTING IN MASSACHUSETTS IS EASY

Information for Massachusetts Voters

In Massachusetts, there are three ways to vote: by mail, early voting from October 17 through October 30, and on Election Day – Tuesday, November 3.

Register to Vote in Massachusetts:

There are three ways to register to vote in Massachusetts: online, by mail, and in person.

  2. Register using the Mail In Form (see below for other languages) and be sure to:

  • Fill in the information required and sign
  • Drop off or mail to your local city or town hall. Click HERE for a list.

Voter Registration Deadline:

    •  State Primary — Saturday, August 22, 2026
    • General Election — Saturday, October 24, 2026

Vote By Mail:

IMPORTANT DATES: For any election in Massachusetts, your request for a mail-in ballot must be received by your local election office by 5 p.m. on the 5th business day before Election Day. Your application can only be accepted if it has reached your local election office by the deadline. This applies to both vote by mail and absentee voting.

Vote Early: October 17 – October 30

Early voting will begin on October 17 through October 30. Locations for early voting in your town will be available in mid-October. Dates have not yet been released by the Secretary of State.

Vote on Election Day: Tuesday, November 3
